# LingoBridge

> LingoBridge, known in Chinese as 翻译排版大师, is an online document translation service. Its web workspace supports PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, DRM-free reflowable EPUB, SRT subtitle, and IDML files; its REST API and remote MCP integration currently support PDF, DOCX, PPTX, and XLSX.

- Web workspace formats: PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, DRM-free reflowable EPUB 2/3, .srt subtitle files, and IDML files.
- EPUB boundary: DRM-free reflowable EPUB 2/3 only, up to 300 MB. Fixed-layout, encrypted, and DRM-protected EPUB files are outside the self-service workflow.
- SRT boundary: .srt files only, up to 20 MB. The workflow translates subtitle text and preserves sequence numbers, timecodes, encoding, and line breaks; it does not transcribe audio or process video.
- IDML boundary: only Story text is translated and written back. Layout, images, layers, and styles are not intentionally changed; open the result in Adobe InDesign for final review.
- REST API and MCP formats: PDF, DOCX, PPTX, and XLSX.
- The REST API uses an asynchronous submit, poll, and download workflow.
- The remote MCP integration can check credits, create translation tasks, poll progress, and download results from compatible AI clients.
- The API, MCP integration, and web workspace use a shared credits balance.
- API and MCP document translation is charged at 1,500 credits per billable page.
- PDF billing uses physical pages, PPTX uses slides, DOCX uses embedded page count with a one-page fallback, and XLSX uses worksheets.

- LingoBridge can be used to translate English novel PDFs, Word manuscripts, and book reading materials into Chinese for personal reading, study, and first-draft understanding.
- Users should test one representative page containing body text, dialogue, and recurring names before processing a full document.
- The service does not claim publication-ready literary translation or perfect terminology consistency. EPUB translation is limited to DRM-free, reflowable EPUB 2/3 files and still requires output review.
- Publication, commercial use, submissions, and public distribution require rights confirmation and professional human translation and editorial review.

- New users receive 5,000 trial credits for web-workspace testing.
- Individual web users can pay as needed and use single-document billing without a subscription.
