Catch prepress changes before the file moves forward
Upload two versions with the same page count and order. The standard workflow finds text, image, page geometry, and visible layout differences without treating this as a translation comparison.
Evidence for production review, not a pixel-only diff
Results bring together the visible page, extractable text, images, and page geometry so reviewers can focus on meaningful changes.
Changed, missing, or additional text with page-level locations.
Changed, missing, or additional image content and visible graphics.
Page size, trim box, rotation, alignment, and local displacement.
Rendered differences that may not appear in extractable text.
Every finding gets a decision
Review differences one by one or in batches. Mark a confirmed error, accept an intentional difference, add a note, and complete the review only when all visible findings have been handled.

- Retention
- Files and result assets are retained for 30 days from the task's terminal status, then scheduled for deletion.

Large files and specialist prepress checks
For files above the public limit, or projects involving CMYK and overprint requirements, scan the enterprise WeChat code and send representative files for an assessment. Availability depends on the actual file and delivery requirements and is not guaranteed before assessment.
- Share file size, page count, and expected delivery date.
- State whether CMYK, overprint, or other production checks are involved.
- Send a representative sample before planning a batch.

Frequently asked questions
Check the current file boundary and the review steps before processing a full document.
Is PDF compare intended for source and translated files?
No. It compares an original PDF with a revised version for production and prepress review. The two files should have the same page count and page order.
How are compared pages billed?
The public edition charges 2,000 credits per compared page. Original page 1 and revised page 1 together count as one compared page.
What are the public-edition file limits?
Each uploaded PDF must be no larger than 200 MB and 100 pages. Larger files require an enterprise assessment before processing.
How long are files and results retained?
Original and revised PDFs, generated page assets, raw results, and HTML ZIP reports are retained for 30 days from the task terminal status and then scheduled for deletion. Task status, billing records, and necessary review audit records may be retained longer for dispute handling, security audits, and legal requirements.
Does the public edition include CMYK and overprint checks?
No. Public self-service does not run CMYK or overprint checks. Contact the enterprise team with representative files for an assessment; support is not guaranteed before the assessment.
